Thirty-three trauma surgeons, trauma program managers and trauma survivors gather in Washington to seek support for a National Trauma Action Plan.

The 2018 Trauma Research Advocacy Day in Washington, D.C.–Held February 6th–brought nearly three dozen advocates for funding of a Trauma Research Action Plan (NTRAP) to the nation’s capital. The NTRAP is a recommendation of the 2016 NASEM Report on a National Trauma Care System to Achieve Zero Preventable Deaths. With adequate funding, the NTRAP will synthesize military and civilian research priorities and direct funding to those areas with the most promise for improving outcomes for traumatic injury survivors.

CNTR’s advocates met with staff people in the offices of more than 170 members of Congress carrying their message.
