Trauma Clinical Trials Network
The Clinical Trials Network Committee (CTN)
The charge of this committee is to develop a National Clinical Trials Network, comprising trauma research centers of various sizes and capabilities, using a fair and publicly available process with fair geographic distribution. As funds become available for a specific study, the appropriate number and group of centers within the network will be invited to participate.
Each funded study may require a different and distinct group of centers from within the network. All centers should agree to participate in the network prior to known funding of any studies, and each center chooses whether to participate in a funded study as it becomes known. The CNTR Executive Committee will provide direction regarding the coordinating center of network studies and should define the parameters and responsibilities of a CNTR study. This committee should collaborate and coordinate activities with the AAST Multi-Institutional Trials Committee as well as the CNTR Research Agenda Committee, and should consider future directions and implications of its activities for CNTR consideration.
